Primary School Beyond Limitations

for children aged 4-9

SBL Primary School is the foundation for SBL Secondary School. SBL stands for individualised holistic and entrepreneurial learning: Each student will be guided towards the completion of their own personal goals: university entry, creation of their business or the pursuit of their dream job.

What do we offer?

Online lessons

The children will begin their school day with a 60 minutes online lesson that will be led by a trained SBL teacher: the ‘morning kick-off lesson’ is based on the holistic concept of SBL and aims to ignite students’ curiosity by using inspiring activities that will be completed offline with the help of an adult person that stays with the child.
Our aim is to develop the child holistically – including the development of all nine intelligences.
Before lunch students will connect for another 30 minutes online in order to share the results of their learning outcome offline, to engage in additional fun activities and to define the learning journey for their afternoon.
The children realise that learning takes place everywhere and any time and are invited to further develop their competencies beyond online lessons.

Directed and self-directed learning between the online lessons

During the online lessons your child will be exposed to stimuli and activities that will ignite their interest in learning. They will also choose activities that will advance their reading, writing, problem-solving and fine motor skills.
Children up to the age of 9 learn better if there is an adult person on site that sustains their learning journey while they work offline. The adult person can be a parent, grandparent, an au pair, or any relative or friend of the family. This person is not required to have any qualification. The SBL teacher will guide the learning process.

Mentoring

Each child from the age of 7 will be coached individually once per week (we aim to sustain each child to reach their own personal goals). The main focus lies in enhancing the enthusiasm for the child’s learning journey.

Collaboration between family and school

We establish a strong sense of collaboration with SBL’s parents in order to advance the child’s development in all areas;
Parents will be issued a monthly learning report about their child’s learning outcomes;
We organise regular meetings with parents in order to discuss the unique situation of their child if needed;
We offer advice for each child’s developmental advancement;
We offer academic continuity as well as social and emotional stability for families who move around regularly;

Requirements

For children who live in countries in which homeschooling is legal;
Open mindedness;
Trust in the capabilities of your child and in the flow for learning;
An adult person on site who takes care of the learning journey during the morning hours;
A good Internet connection, a tablet, laptop or computer;
All time zones between CET-1 to CET+6

Costs

Administration Fees (every year)	400 EUR
For children aged 4-6 (one-off payment): yearly instalments ( 10 instalments of 630 EUR) :	5.500 EUR 6.300 EUR
For children aged 7-9 (one-off payment): yearly instalments ( 10 instalments for 930 EUR each) :	8.200 EUR 9.300 EUR
