At School Beyond Limitations we take each student by the hand facilitating their journey to their own personal goals: entry to university, creation of their own business or the start of their own job.
What do we offer?
Every day there are 3 hours of online lessons led by an SBL English speaking learning and development facilitator.
Our lessons take place every day from 9 am to 12 noon CET (students in timezones of CET +6 to -1).
We advance all intelligences of our students.
Our students learn beyond their online lessons by expanding their learning and their newly acquired competencies and knowledge at any time of the day.
Our students learn in multi-aged groups.
Each class is led by two learning and development facilitators (one language and humanities oriented expert and one science and Maths oriented expert).
Our students are prepared for internationally recognised qualifications.
The language of instruction is English.
Self-directed learning in the afternoon
Our students understand that learning takes place everywhere and at any time.
They continue working on their projects in the afternoon by defining their personalised action steps in order to advance their thirst for learning.
Our students understand the value of sharing their knowledge, their knowing, their insights and experiences with their peers, learning and development facilitators and our school community.
Our students are always empowered to take initiative by leading extracurricular activities.
Our students also meet online beyond school hours in order to work on shared projects and/or to develop and brainstorm new ideas.
Our students develop entrepreneurial projects, for example the creation of their own company, the design of websites, the best strategies to engage on social media channels and much more.
Our students learn to see themselves holistically – as generative and conscious leaders of their reality.
Each student receives one individual coaching session by their learning and development facilitator once per week – these individualised sessions help our students to fulfil their personal goals accordingly.
These sessions guide our students to achieve their short-term, mid-term and long-term goals successfully.
Our school community meets three times per year for one experiential learning week in different locations in Europe in order for our students to dive into the cultural diversity of each country.
We encourage our students to mingle with their peers and their learning and development facilitators in order to strengthen and advance their social and emotional competencies and to establish a strong sense of belonging as a school community.
Our students learn to see that learning takes place everywhere and at any time.
Our students become more open towards different cultures by developing multicultural sensitivity that allows them to appreciate diversity that surrounds them.
By doing so students don’t only learn to navigate diverse situations, they also appreciate diversity by integrating cultural richness into their lives.
Our students develop into global citizens.
Our students work on meaningful projects for themselves by expanding their own interests through a purposeful exchange with their learning and development facilitators and their peers; this allows them to extend their initial interests accordingly.
Our students appreciate being an active part of their own learning journey.
Our students learn that their choice to work on specific projects is purposeful; understanding that their contribution makes the difference.
Our students learn to take responsibility for their learning.
Our students grow beyond limitations and see the relevance of their thinking, their behaviour and their actions in the world.
Strong collaboration between families and school
We practice strong collaboration between parents and school in order to work best for the benefit of each student.
We invite parents to join the team during the first residential week.
We send parents regular written feedback about their child’s learning outcomes.
If needed, we organise regular meetings with parents to discuss their child’s specific situation.
We provide counselling and offer concrete strategies and measurable suggestions to support the student’s development.
We offer educational continuity, even if the family is moving to another city or to another country.
We are the only school that emphasises a holistic education. This is embedded in School Beyond Limitations’ fabric by keeping the educational standards high.
School Beyond Limitations is a fully internationally recognised school.
